The Role:

The Team Lead acts as the bridge between senior management and the project coordination team. You will oversee a group of Project Coordinators, ensuring they have the tools, training, and support necessary to execute projects flawlessly. While you may still manage high-stakes projects, your primary focus is on process optimization, team performance, and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Support Leadership and mentor new hires and team Project Coordinators. Conduct weekly or bi weekly 1:1s and support Monthly and Annual performance reviews.
  • Workflow Optimization: Identify bottlenecks in the current project lifecycle and implement standardized templates, tools, and SOPs.
  • Resource Allocation: Support Leadership with Monitoring team bandwidth and assign project tasks based on individual strengths and current workloads.
  • Quality Assurance: Support Leadership with reviewing project documentation, tool usage, data hygiene to ensure high standards and accuracy. Help drive team and individual KPIs. 
  • Escalation Management: Serve as the initial point of contact for complex issues or conflicts that the project coordinators cannot resolve independently; Escalating the proper leadership contacts are necessary.

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience: 3+ years in project coordination or management
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of PM software (e.g., Asana, Jira, Smartsheet) and resource planning tools.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional emotional intelligence, ability to demonstrate empathy, conflict resolution skills, and the ability to motivate a team under tight deadlines.
  • Track Record of Innovation: Demonstrate examples of having built or significantly improved an implementation 
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to look beyond individual tasks to see how project outcomes impact the company’s bottom line. A “think outside the box” mentality.
