We’re looking for a US Payroll Administrator to join our growing Payroll Operations team! In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing for our US clients, and you will be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll cycles, resolving payroll-related inquiries, and supporting customers with expert guidance on federal and state requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Process full-cycle payroll for US clients, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance at federal, state, and local levels.
  • Review timesheets, employee records, deductions, and adjustments for accuracy before each pay run.
  • Resolve payroll inquiries related to taxes, garnishments, direct deposits, PTO, and earnings.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and clients to ensure all payroll data is received, validated, and completed on schedule.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of US wage laws, payroll taxes, labor regulations, and reporting obligations.
  • Prepare and review year-end documents such as W-2s, 1099s, and quarterly filings.
  • Identify payroll discrepancies and escalate or resolve issues accordingly.
  • Support implementation and onboarding teams with payroll setup and configuration.
  • Document processes and contribute to continuous improvement of payroll workflows.

Requirements

Requirements: 

  • 2+ years of US payroll processing experience across multiple states.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including taxes, wage laws, and reporting.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfortable working with clients and internal teams in a remote environment.
  • Proficiency with payroll platforms, spreadsheets, and payroll reporting tools.

Bonus Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience with multi-state or high-volume payroll environments.
  • CPP or FPC certification (or working toward certification).
  • Experience working with SaaS payroll systems.
  • Knowledge of workforce management or HRIS systems.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
